In September 2000, after one month of cleaning out the debris left by the previous
occupant of the rented building, Cataldo Auto Repair opened
its doors for business. The owners, Ben, Sam, and Dave had
between them 1 tool box, 1 floorjack, 4 jackstands, $40.00,and a dream.
In July 2001, the Town of Wartrace saw the promising future these
young men had ahead of them and granted them a mortgage of $55,000.00, which enabled them to buy the building that housed their repair shop.

Between 2001 and 2005, the three partners rarely took home a paycheck. It was through the cooperation of Ben and Sam's wives and Dave's personal sacrifices that the business was able to stay current with their operating expenses. Because of these sacrifices, lifts and other equipment were added. They no longer had to lay on their backs on a creeper to service vehicles.
In July 2005, they realized they needed a better sense of business management and signed up for an intense course with a school geared towards managing an auto repair shop. With the knowledge gained, the business grew in leaps and bounds.
In August 2005, in order to provide parking for their customers, the level area of the parking lot was extended, a retaining wall was built, and the lot was black-topped.
In August 2006, the business was incorporated under the name C.A.R. Service Center, Inc.. Business has improved to the point that the shop now has three lifts and equipment to service all the newest model cars.
In October 2006, a 840 square foot office addition was added. Much of the construction was done by the boys and their friends and family. We greatly appreciated the help of all in this addition which allowed us to service our ever growing customer base more efficiently. Most of all we Thank God for his guidance and direction.
As of June 2007, Sam and Dave took over full ownership to allow Ben to pursue other opportunities.
Future goals of C.A.R. Service Center owners are to expand to several communities of Middle Tennessee and bring their Christian family values of fairness, honesty, and reliability to those outside of their home community.
